This is a recently created garden, which needs a couple of years to develop.

Brief

Our clients had a tired front garden and wanted a complete refresh. They wanted space in their front garden to sit and relax, plus adequate hard surface the keep the garden practical for a young family (prams, bikes etc).

Solution

We retained the stunning Ginko trees but replaced the remaining garden. We made a Corten and Spotted Gum round seat plus a matching Corten pond, with a lovely trickling fountain, to create a peaceful place for relaxing. The Corten is replicated in the beautiful sculpture (chosen by the clients), street number on the front fence and supporting frames for the edible garden off to the side. A plant scheme of greys, blues and soft greens balance the deep rust colour of the Corten and provide a soothing backdrop to the dramatic drifts of Smoke Bush behind the front fence. The Monument fences and arbour add depth to the palette.

The Arbour will become covered in Boston Ivy, which will turn brilliant reds in Autumn.
