This is a recently created garden, which needs a couple of years to develop.

Brief

Having just completed the build of a contemporary home, our clients wanted an informal, relaxed and low maintenance front garden.

They wanted a front fence, with an automated sliding gate.

Solution

To achieve an informal, relaxed path up the slope, we created a series of large, floating platforms paved in large format bluestone. The pavers reference the bluestone cladding on the house.

We moderated the slope of the garden with large granite blocks.

Mass planting of ground covers will create a continual green blanket of multi textural foliage. Three feature Cercis ‘Avondale’ trees emerge from this, to provide shade and seasonal interest, including a dramatic blossom display in spring.
